otem rellik
the pale of another day ep (2008)

dsv 10 |
The pale of another day is a collection of sun bleached loose-ended songs, instrumentals, cover songs and voicemail. Recorded over the last two years, these tracks were never intended for a specific album but have always held a certain unique quality that otem rellik was fond of. Included in this conjoined batch of renegade recordings is the amazing production from Germany's own com.pare as well as two versions of otem rellik's first cover song Roberta C by Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. This album comes in a homemade package with an 11 song cd, dvd and a booklet. The dvd includes the music video the machine and me, as well as the new animated video the pale. |

chain reaction robot (2008)

flora 13 |
Three years in the making, chain reaction robot explodes with lung fulls of raw emotion, belted out urgently by otem rellik. This album characterizes otem perfectly and represents a landmark of musical achievement. Entirely constructed by otem, chain reaction robot displays beautiful, sometimes eerie, poetic lyricism with euphonious vocal melodies and warped, deformed and computer processed instrumentation. Otem's mangled beats are also assisted by remarkable vocal contributions from underground hip hoppers Brad Hamers (Token Recluse) and Astronautalis (Eyeball Records).

cassette tape (2006)

dsv 09 |
This release is tribute to the warm static noise of the good ol' cassette tapes otem grew up with. Eleven songs built from guitar loops, self help tapes, shitty records, childhood recordings, a roommates earring, and of course the amazing guitar and vocal accompaniment by Lifeboat Etiquette. However introspective and nostalgic, this album is not without its moments of hope and an optimistic view of the future. If you want to learn french, quit smoking, accept Armageddon, talk to the spirits of dead pets, stare at then sun or just get lost in the studio noise and tape hiss, pick up this album. Available on finger painted cassettes with sewn up booklets or to download (download available on the store page). |

dsv 02 |
A collection of 19 untitled, random instrumentals created by otem rellik. Following the release of the self titled dead space volume album, and inspired by beat tapes such as: Odd Nosdams "Plan9...Meet your Hypnotis", otem decided to get these tracks off the hard drive and onto some cd-r's.

dead space volume (2003)

dsv 01 |
The first dead space volume release was recorded from January to September 2003 almost entirely with a sampler and a drum machine with a bad metronome. These tracks represent the birth of otem rellik’s ongoing attempt to console himself though his bedroom music. Originally opted as a group project, this album turned out being the first of many solo efforts from rellik. The eightbithero lends his first ever raps on “personality mask” and if you listen carefully, you may hear the involuntary sample of archimedes on “story quit past”.
